    The notion, that preparing for disasters is actually a great opportunity to dust off many systems in the hospital,and - in the end - it usually turns out to be a cost-effective exercise for the entire system, is underappreciated. I think it needs to be explored and proven with actual data, because it may well be a turning point for many decision makers.

  2. Thanks for your comment Dr. Halpern. The leaders who are willing to do the work will be amazed at how many improvements (and cost savings) are out there. I sure hope this is a turning point.
